What is nutrition to you?

I am a strong believer in a whole foods, clean eating lifestyle. I encourage my clients to avoid as many processed foods as possible. Artificial flavors and sweeteners are also not ideal. I believe strongly in natural vitamins and supplements, but I do not believe in diet products that disguise themselves as “supplements”.
Most of my clients follow a plan that is at least moderate in carbs, if not low. I do not believe that we need a high amount of carbs to function in the day to day.
With my clients it is my goal to find a plan that is sustainable for the long term. If you are to work a plan that you don’t enjoy and cannot maintain, it is pointless.
It is also my goal to help my clients find a intuitive type way of eating. That is, they can have splurges from time to time without derailing their entire day, week or plan altogether. Life is made for enjoying. I don’t think it’s logical to resist all sweets and things that aren’t exactly ideal. However, they need to be the exception and not the rule. I want my clients to be able to lead a healthy lifestyle while enjoying life.
Nutrition is key to all health goals. Wether you want to lose weight, gain weight, maintain, battle some condition or illness, gain energy or just feel better - the key is in your nutrition. I have a strong passion for helping my clients find a plan that works for them and then supporting and guiding them along their path to their goals.
